Nursery Practitioner

Affinity Partnerships are currently recruiting Level 2 and Level 3 Nursery Practitioners to work across a variety of nurseries, preschools, and school-based Early Years settings throughout North Somerset.

The Role

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a key role in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment where young children can thrive. You will support daily routines, encourage learning through play, and help children achieve their developmental milestones.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting children's learning and development in line with the EYFS framework
  • Planning and delivering engaging age-appropriate activities
  • Promoting children's social, emotional, and physical development
  • Building positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
  • Ensuring high standards of safeguarding, health and safety, and wellbeing
  • Observing and recording children's progress where required
  • Supporting children with individual needs and encouraging inclusion

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification
  • Previous experience working within a nursery or Early Years setting
  • A valid Paediatric First Aid Certification
  • Good knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A positive, caring, and professional approach
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
